Welcome to Basecamp. This is where your project team keeps conversations, files, updates, and next steps together in one place. Know where things stand without sorting through long email threads or meetings.

This guide gets you set up and ready to work in Basecamp.

How Basecamp works

Basecamp is the shared workspace for your project. While every team sets up Basecamp a little differently, you’ll typically use it to share updates, review work, ask questions, and keep track of next steps.


Accept your invite and log in

Before you can access a Basecamp account, you’ll need to accept the invitation sent to your email.
Once you’re signed into your new account:

💡Tip: You can stay involved without logging in every time by replying to Basecamp notifications directly from your email. Your response will appear in the right place in the project automatically.


Find your project

Once you’re signed in, open the project on your Home screen. This is where all the work will happen.
