Personal Preferences (dark mode, time zone, 24h format)
Set your appearance, time zone, and date and time format from Preferences. These settings are specific to each Basecamp account — if you belong to multiple accounts, set them separately in each one.
Go to Account & Settings → Preferences.
Appearance
Set your appearance to Always light, Always dark, or Same as OS. If you choose Same as OS, Basecamp follows your device's light and dark mode setting automatically.
Time zone
Your time zone setting controls when Basecamp sends you notification emails. Keep it set to wherever you're working.
Basecamp adjusts event times automatically based on your device's clock. Your Preferences time zone doesn't update automatically when you travel, but Basecamp will notice if your device time zone has changed and will ask you if you want to update your notifications time zone.
Example: Liza is in Seattle (PT) and creates an event for tomorrow at 10am. Her colleague Tina in Baltimore (ET) sees the same event on her calendar at 1pm — Basecamp has automatically converted the time. Later that day, Liza flies to Chicago and her device switches to CT. The event now shows as 12pm on her calendar. Basecamp notices her device time zone has changed and asks if she'd like to update her notifications time zone to match.
Date and time format
Set your First day of the week to any day — this affects the date picker used for scheduling events and to-dos.
Set your Time format to 12-hour or 24-hour display.
