How Basecamp works

Basecamp brings everything together in one place. You can see what’s going on, find what you need, and keep your team on the same page.

It’s a simpler, more organized way to run your projects — and once you’re set up, it’s easy to keep things moving.


Create your account

Sign up for a new free trial account.
Once you’re signed into your new account:

Get oriented in a project 

When you create a new account, take the ~3-minute onboarding tour.

If you decide to skip it, open and explore the built-in "Getting Started" project. Level up by completing the to-dos in the “Learning the Basics” To-do list tool.

There's also a sample project called "Making a Podcast" that showcases how we use Basecamp to make a podcast called REWORK.
