Notifications Sidebar
The sidebar keeps conversations, notifications, and bubbled items in one place so you can catch up and respond without leaving what you’re working on.

Open the sidebar by pressing Shift + S, or clicking on Pings + New for you in the top right corner of your account.
Press Shift + S again, or the 'X' to close it.
How the sidebar is organized
The sidebar is split into sections for new activity, conversations, and reminders.
- Pings at the top for conversations
- Bubbled up items you asked to revisit
- New for you for unread activity
- Previous notifications for older updates
If there’s nothing new, you’ll see a message letting you know you’re all caught up.
Pings
Pings are direct messages and conversations.
At the top of the sidebar, you’ll see recent Pings as profile icons. Click one to open the conversation and reply.
Notifications
Notifications show activity across your projects - like new Pings, messages, comments, assignments, and updates.
Click any notification to open it and jump to the full context.
You can manage notifications directly from the sidebar:
- Hover over a new notification and clicking the X to mark it as read
- Use the ••• menu on a previously seen notification to mark it as unread or stop notifications for that item
- Click Mark all as read at the top right of New for you to clear all unread notifications at once
- Sort your notifications sidebar to keep newest notifications at the top by clicking the "New for you" header.

Silencing notifications
Temporarily silence notifications from the Sidebar.
Open the Sidebar menu and select Shhh... (or Shift + Z) to stop new notification alerts. While notifications are silenced, the sidebar shows a muted state.
Open the same menu again and select Silencing notifications to turn notifications back on.
Bubbled up items
Items you’ve bubbled up appear in the sidebar when they return.
If something is scheduled for later, you’ll see a reminder showing how many items will bubble up. Items scheduled for now appear directly in the Bubbled up section near the top of the sidebar. Click on the view more link to view all of your bubbled up items.
Filtering notifications
Use the filter field at the bottom of the sidebar to search and narrow down notifications.
