My Bar

The bottom bar gives you quick access to your personal work across Basecamp - no matter where you are. Use it to check tasks, upcoming events, saved items, and notes without leaving what you’re working on.

You can open items directly from the bottom bar or use keyboard shortcuts to jump to them quickly. Time-sensitive work, like tasks and events due today, appears here so you can stay on top of what needs attention.

Jump to:

My Profile

Your profile picture appears in the bottom left corner of My bar. Click it to open your account menu.

From there, you can access My Profile, My Activity, My Drafts, My Boosts, Account & Settings, and Log out.

My Tasks

View your prioritized work and what’s due today in one place.

Click My Tasks in the bottom bar or press Shift + T to open it. My Tasks shows assignments you’ve manually moved to Up Next from See all assignments, helping you focus on the work that matters most right now.

When you have work due today, like tasks or upcoming events, they appear in a Due Today section in the bottom bar. Click it or press Shift + I to see everything that needs attention right now.

You can mark tasks complete directly from My Tasks or Due Today without opening the full to-do.

Events happening today also appear in the Do Today section so you don’t miss what’s coming up. When an event is starting soon, a banner reminder will pop up with a countdown to the event. If the even includes a Zoom or meeting link, you can join directly from the reminder.

My Notes

Create and access personal notes from anywhere in Basecamp.

Click My Notes or press Shift + N to open your notes. Notes are private to you and can be used for quick reminders, drafts, or anything you want to keep handy.

Use notes to jot things down without needing a project - like ideas, checklists, or work in progress. You can come back to them anytime from the bottom bar.
