Out Of Office

Turn on Out of Office so your teammates know when you're unavailable and when you'll be back. It's a visual sign, not an auto-responder, so it won't send replies on your behalf.

To get to click your Profile photo, then → Account & Settings → Out of Office.

Setting your Out of Office

Toggle I'm out and select the dates you'll be away. Basecamp will mark you as unavailable for the duration.

How teammates see it

While you're marked as out, Basecamp flags your availability in a few places:

Your avatar — A yellow "OUT" overlay appears on your avatar across the entire account.
Your profile card — Clicking your avatar shows your out of office dates.
@mentions — Typing your name in autocomplete shows that you're out and when you'll be back.
Your activity page — Anyone visiting your activity page can see your return date.

Out of Office doesn't affect the notifications you receive. To limit notifications while you're away, adjust those in Notification Settings.
