Samsung keyboard and @mentions on Android
If you're using a Samsung device and @mentions aren't working correctly in the Basecamp Android app, the cause is likely a conflict between Samsung's default keyboard and its Grammarly integration. You have two options: switch to Gboard (Google's keyboard), or turn off the Grammarly integration on your Samsung keyboard.
- Open Settings on your Android phone.
- Go to System > Languages & input.
- Tap On-screen keyboard.
- Toggle on Gboard and toggle off your current default keyboard.
- Tap OK when prompted.
Note: On some Samsung models these settings appear under Settings > General management > Keyboard list and default instead.
- Open Settings on your Android phone.
- Search for Samsung Keyboard.
- Tap Suggest Text Corrections.
- Switch off English.
- Go back to Samsung Keyboard settings, scroll down to Select third-party content to use, and disable Grammarly.
