Merging People
Merging combines two user profiles on your account into one. The most common reason is a duplicate — someone was invited twice under different email addresses and now appears on the account twice. Only admins and owners can merge people.
⚠️ Merging cannot be undone. Take time to confirm you have the right profiles before you proceed. If you're unsure, contact support before merging.

What transfers in a merge
Merging designates one profile as the winner and one as the loser. The winner inherits everything from the loser and stays on the account. The loser profile is removed.
The winner receives the loser's:
- To-do assignments
- Reminders
- Notification subscriptions
- Project access
The winner does not receive:
- The loser's historical activity
- Access to the loser's Ping conversations
How to merge two people
From the Home page, click the ⚿ Adminland button on the left side, then select Merge people.
Read the information on the Merge people page carefully before proceeding.
Step 1: Choose the loser. Find the profile you want to remove from the account and select it. This is the profile whose identity will be absorbed — typically the duplicate or the person leaving.
Step 2: Choose the winner. Select the profile that will stay on the account and inherit the loser's access and assignments.
Step 3: Confirm. Review the summary and confirm the merge. Once confirmed, the loser profile is removed from the account immediately.
