Basecamp for Free is a permanent free plan — no trial period, no credit card required. It's available to anyone signing up for a new Basecamp account. You can sign up here: basecamp.com/pricing

The free plan includes:

• 1 project (with all project tools)
• 20 users, including clients and outside collaborators
• 1 GB of file storage
• Pings for private one-on-one and group conversations

Not available on the free plan:

• Public sharing links
• Account upgrades (Admin Pro Pack, Timesheet, additional storage)
• Multiple projects

Upgrading to a paid plan

When you're ready to move beyond one project, upgrading is straightforward. From the Home page, click the ⚿ Adminland button on the left side, then select Handle billing, invoices, packages, and upgrades to see your options. Current pricing is always at basecamp.com/pricing.
