Boosts

Boost a message, comment, or other item to acknowledge it without adding a reply. It’s a quick way to show you’ve seen something, agree with it, or react without adding noise to the conversation.

Adding a Boost

Add a Boost to any message, comment, to-do, card, check-in, or document.

In Chat and Pings, open the ••• menu on a message, then select 🚀 Boost. This opens the Boost bar, where you can start typing right away or choose an emoji.

In other tools, click the 🚀 Boost button on the item. A row of quick emoji appears - select one to react instantly, or use the Boost bar to type or choose from more options.

You can also open your device’s emoji picker with Control + Command + Space (Mac) or Windows key + . (Windows/Linux).

Once added, your Boost appears directly on the item. Multiple Boosts can appear side by side.

Removing a Boost

Click your Boost, then select the 🗑️ Remove option.

Viewing your Boosts

View all Boost activity in one place from the Boosts page.

Open the Basecamp menu and search for “Boosts,” then click it to open the page. You can also press Shift + O to open it directly, or view it from your profile menu on the bottom left of any screen.

Getting notified about Boosts

Turn on notifications from the Boosts page to stay up to date on new activity.

When enabled, you’ll receive sidebar notifications about new Boosts. Clicking a notification takes you to the Boosts page.

📝 NOTE: Boost notifications are bundled and delivered every 3 hours, rather than in real time.
