External Links

Add an External Link to connect your project to the other tools and services your team uses, like GitHub, Slack, or Zoom. External Links appear with your project tools, making it easy to jump between Basecamp and the rest of your workflow.

To add an External Link, open a project and click the + button to add a tool.

Adding an External Link

Add an External Link to connect a service or website directly to your project.

Click the + button in your project and select External Link.

You can also open the ••• menu, select Customize project tools, and add one from there.

Choose a service, or select External Service to add your own link.

When creating a custom External Link, you can set a title and description, add a link, upload an image, and choose whether clients can see it.

Once added, the External Link appears with your project tools. You can drag and drop them to reorder.

Editing or removing an External Link

Update an External Link’s details or remove it at any time.

Hover over the link and click Edit to update its name, description, link, image, or visibility.

To remove it, open the edit screen and click the 🗑️ Delete option.
